Cookie was the family chinchilla. He was originally my cousin's, but came to live with us. He loved to climb in his cage, eat raisins, and chew on stuff. Watching him take a bath in his bath sand was hilarious and fun. He was a very fast mover, as we learned when he escaped his cage!
Cookie's best buddy was Max, our border collie. Max would stare at him for hours on end, and Cookie never seemed to mind. After Maxie passed away, Cookie wasn't the same. He later got sick and passed away not long after Max.
He was our Cookie Monster. My family and I miss him greatly.
